Iowa Governor orders flags lowered to honor 1941 Pearl Harbor victim, Everett C. Titterington.

On September 9, 2024, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds ordered flags to fly at half-staff to honor Navy Fireman 1st Class Everett C. Titterington, who died during the Pearl Harbor attack on December 7, 1941, at age 21 while aboard the USS Oklahoma. His remains were recently identified and laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery in California. Iowans are encouraged to participate in the tribute by lowering flags at their homes and businesses.
