Indian PM Modi skips UNGA speech, sending External Affairs Minister Jaishankar instead.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not speak at the upcoming United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session. Instead, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will address the General Debate on September 28. Modi will be in New York to participate in a community event on September 22 and the UN's 'Summit of the Future' on September 22-23. The UNGA General Debate runs from September 24 to 30, with Brazil and the U.S. opening the session.
