14 Bangladeshi migrants, pardoned by UAE's President, will return to Bangladesh after being convicted for protesting.
Fourteen Bangladeshi migrants, part of a group of 57 convicted for protesting in the UAE, will return to Bangladesh after being pardoned by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Their arrival is expected between 7 PM and 10 PM on Saturday at Dhaka and Chittagong airports. The pardons were granted on September 3, following sentences that included life and lengthy prison terms for the protest held on July 19.
