79-year-old WWII soldier Robert L. Skaar's remains identified, burial planned in October.

U.S. Army Private Robert L. Skaar, killed in action at 18 during World War II, has been identified 79 years after his death. His remains were found in 2022 at Ardennes American Cemetery in Belgium and confirmed by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. Skaar's burial is planned for October 1 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A rosette will mark his name on the Walls of the Missing at Epinal American Cemetery in France, indicating he has been accounted for.
