2024 Vancouver ranks 6th among Canada's 15 largest metro areas with 22.4% remote work, down from 24.3% peak in 2021.

As of May 2024, Vancouver ranks sixth among Canada’s 15 largest metropolitan areas, with 22.4% of employees working mostly from home, tied with Quebec City. Although remote work has declined since its peak of 24.3% during the pandemic in May 2021, it is still more than double the pre-pandemic rate of 7.1%. Nationwide, 18.7% of Canadian employees worked remotely, down 1.4% from last year. Ottawa-Gatineau has the highest rate at 34.2%.
