Tango Gameworks was acquired by Krafton, retaining Hi-Fi Rush IP and half of its staff.
Shinji Mikami, founder of Tango Gameworks, believed the success of Hi-Fi Rush would protect the studio from closure. Despite this, Microsoft shut it down earlier this year. Mikami expressed relief over the acquisition and emphasized that creating quality games is vital for a studio's survival. A sequel to Hi-Fi Rush has yet to be announced.
