Sajith Premadasa, the presidential candidate from Sri Lanka's Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB), stressed the need for reforming state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to alleviate their burden on the economy and taxpayers. At a gala event for his economic policy, he suggested adopting Singapore's TEMASEK model for targeted reforms. He aims to enhance SOE profitability, ensure high-quality services, and introduce private partners to improve efficiency and transparency in services provided to Sri Lankans.
