Due to an excessive heat warning, Portland Public Schools will dismiss students from non-air-conditioned buildings three hours early on Friday, around noon. High schools will maintain regular hours. North Clackamas School District will close all schools, canceling afternoon activities. Lake Oswego schools will also have early releases, with elementary dismissing at 1:15 PM and middle school at 1:25 PM. The heat warning is in effect from noon Thursday to 10 PM Friday.
