A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to ban Netflix's series "IC-814: The Kandahar Hijack" was withdrawn after the platform added a disclaimer revealing the real names of the hijackers from the 1999 incident. Petitioner Surjit Singh Yadav claimed the series misrepresented the terrorists' identities and offended Hindu sentiments. Following discussions with Netflix, the platform pledged to enhance sensitivity in future content.
