NLB closes library@orchard for 2-year renovation, reopening in 2026 with tech upgrades and new children's section.
The National Library Board (NLB) will close the library@orchard on October 28 for a two-year renovation, set to conclude in 2026. This initiative aims to rejuvenate the space with tech-enabled interactive areas and a new children's section. The library's design and applied arts collection will move to the Central Arts Library, opening in late 2024, and partially to the National Design Centre. A program celebrating the library’s art and design history will precede the closure.
