8-foot Johnny Cash statue replaces two outdated ones, en route to U.S. Capitol for unveiling on September 24.

A statue of Johnny Cash is en route from Arkansas to the U.S. Capitol, set to be unveiled on September 24. The eight-foot bronze sculpture, created by Kevin Kresse, replaces two outdated statues that represented Arkansas for over a century. This is the second statue sent by the state, following civil rights leader Daisy Bates. Cash, born in Kingsland, Arkansas, is celebrated for his significant contributions to music and culture.
