Finland and Norway partner to transport and store CO2 emissions for climate change mitigation.

Finland and Norway are partnering to facilitate the transport and long-term storage of carbon dioxide (CO2). Finland will capture CO2 emissions, particularly from its forestry and bioenergy sectors, and transport them to Norway, which has extensive experience in safe undersea CO2 storage. This collaboration, pending Finnish parliamentary approval, aims to enhance carbon capture technology’s role in combating climate change and limiting global warming.
