UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced the operational status of the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant's fourth unit on September 5. This unit adds 1,400 megawatts, contributing to a total capacity of 5,600 megawatts, which now meets 25% of the UAE's electricity needs. The plant generates 40 terawatt-hours of clean energy annually, preventing over 22 million tons of carbon emissions, equivalent to removing 4.8 million cars from the roads.
