2025 NPFL and B.A.S.S. restrict forward-facing sonar technology in bass fishing competitions.

The National Professional Fishing League (NPFL) and Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.) are restricting forward-facing sonar (FFS) technology in bass fishing competitions. Starting in 2025, NPFL will ban FFS during practice and competitions, while B.A.S.S. limits FFS devices to one per boat, mounted at the trolling motor. New equipment standards also include screen size limits and a focus on diverse fishing techniques to ensure fairness and safety in the sport.
