Gedeminas Urbasius, a kitchen porter at Browne's Steakhouse in Dublin, received €22,000 in redundancy pay after losing his job due to a fatal shooting on Christmas Eve 2021. The restaurant has remained closed since the incident, which involved gunman Tristan Sherry, who was killed after fatally injuring another man. The Workplace Relations Commission found the employer, San Siro Ltd, at fault for the redundancy. Four men are set to face trial for Sherry's murder.
