New Jersey regulators found that the Borgata, Atlantic City's leading casino, underpaid its internet gambling taxes by $1.1 million after claiming nearly $15 million in excessive credits. The state has mandated the casino to pay the owed taxes, along with $1.3 million in penalties and interest, plus a $75,000 civil fine. This incident marks the second tax underreporting by the Borgata in 18 months. MGM Resorts International, its parent company, did not comment.
