Zimbabwe cuts kombi operating radius to 60 km, instates speed limit devices to improve road safety.

Zimbabwe's government has reduced the operating radius for commuter omnibuses, or "kombis," from 120 km to 60 km, aiming to enhance road safety amid rising traffic accidents. Transport Minister Felix Mhona announced that all kombis must install speed limiting and monitoring devices. New permits will be limited to the 60 km radius, while existing permits remain valid until expiration. The government encourages using high-capacity buses for longer trips.
