A 48-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Birmingham, Alabama, on August 30 at 10:30 p.m. while crossing Princeton Avenue SW at Lomb Avenue SW. The driver fled the scene, and police are investigating. Separately, 41-year-old Willie Rodrique Watts died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash early September 2. Both incidents are under investigation by the Birmingham Police Department.
