Transocean wins $123m contract to drill six wells for Reliance offshore India through 2029.
Transocean Ltd. has secured a $123 million contract from Reliance Industries for the Dhirubhai Deepwater KG1 project offshore India. The contract involves drilling six wells over a 300-day program starting in the second quarter of 2026. If all options are exercised, the rig may remain in India until the end of 2029. The ultra-deepwater drillship can operate in depths up to 12,000 feet and drill to 35,000 feet.
