Study finds higher psychological resilience lowers mortality risk, especially in women.

A study by researchers from China and Sweden found that higher psychological resilience significantly lowers the risk of death, especially in women. Analyzing data from 10,569 individuals aged 50 and older from the US Health and Retirement Study, those in the top resilience quartile had a 53% reduced mortality risk compared to the lowest quartile. The findings suggest that enhancing psychological resilience could be an effective intervention to reduce mortality risks.
