South Korean actor Yoo Ah-in, also known as Uhm Hong-sik, has been sentenced to one year in prison for illegally using the anaesthetic propofol 181 times from 2020 to 2022. He was found guilty by the Seoul Central District Court, which opted for a shorter sentence than the four years sought by prosecutors, citing his mental health issues. Additionally, he was fined 2 million KRW and required to undergo 80 hours of drug rehabilitation. Yoo expressed remorse for his actions.
