Sabah State Government establishes Special Committee on Citizenship Status and Task Force for undocumented residents.
The Sabah State Government in Malaysia has established a Special Committee on Citizenship Status and a Special Task Force to address issues faced by residents lacking identification documents. Endorsed by the State Cabinet, the committee will expedite citizenship applications under Article 15A of the Federal Constitution. It will be co-chaired by the Home Minister and the Chief Minister, with support from relevant government agencies to address undocumented residents.
