Omega enhances Paris 2024 Paralympics timekeeping systems with high-speed cameras and reaction time sensors.

Omega, the official timekeeper for the Olympics and Paralympics, is enhancing its timekeeping systems for the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Approximately 260 employees will implement new technologies, including photo finish cameras that capture 40,000 frames per second and sensors measuring reaction times to a quarter of a millisecond. Some features, like photocells for wheelchairs, are unique to the Paralympics. Omega also provides live data and graphics for broadcasts.
