Sharad Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), announced that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, which includes the Shiv Sena and Congress, will not declare a chief ministerial candidate before the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The decision will be based on which party wins the most seats. Pawar emphasized the need for seat-sharing discussions among allies by early September to prepare for the elections expected after Diwali.
