Kazakhstan invests $402m in gasification projects to provide blue fuel, upgrade gas networks and develop Kashagan and Karachaganak plants.

Kazakhstan's government is investing $402 million (194 billion tenge) in gasification projects to provide blue fuel to over 300,000 people and upgrade 1,700 kilometers of gas networks. Preparations are underway for three gas pipelines, while two plants at the Kashagan field, with capacities of 1 billion and 2.5 billion cubic meters, are set to be operational in 2026 and 2030. A 4 billion cubic meter processing plant at Karachaganak is expected to launch in 2028.
