Wesley P. Marler, 69, was arrested in Bonne Terre, Missouri, on August 30, linked to the 1989 homicide of Jimmie Wade Martin, who died after a bar fight. The case, which stalled with other suspects, was reopened in late 2020 by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the St. Francois Sheriff's Office. Marler has been indicted for first-degree assault and is held on a $500,000 bond in St. Francois County Jail.
