Chad Cicero Waldron, a 46-year-old from Floyd County, Virginia, died on August 24 following a motorcycle crash during a police pursuit. The Virginia State Police attempted to stop Waldron for speeding at 115 mph on Interstate 581, but he fled, reaching speeds up to 120 mph before losing control and crashing in Salem. He was wearing a helmet but later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital. The incident is under investigation.
