UK government considers stricter seat belt penalties for unsecured children under 14.
The UK government is contemplating stricter penalties for drivers who fail to secure children under 14 in seat belts. Currently, drivers face fines of £100, escalating to £500 in court. This proposal follows the detection of 109 children not wearing seat belts by AI cameras during a summer crackdown on A-roads.
