Sir Paul Marshall finalizes £100m acquisition of The Spectator magazine from RedBird IMI.
Sir Paul Marshall, a hedge fund manager and investor in GB News, is set to finalize a £100 million acquisition of The Spectator magazine, concluding a tumultuous ownership period. Previously owned by the Barclay family, The Spectator and Telegraph Media Group were sold to RedBird IMI but had to be resold due to UK legislation barring foreign state ownership of UK newspapers. Marshall is also involved in a consortium bidding for the Telegraph titles.
