100MW Redstone CSP Project in South Africa, by SEPCOIII, to serve 200K households, connect to grid in Sept 2024, and train local engineers.

The Redstone Concentrated Solar Thermal Power Project in South Africa, developed by SEPCOIII, is the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. This 100 MW facility will produce about 480 GWh of electricity annually, serving over 200,000 households. It has created more than 2,500 jobs and trained over 400 local engineers, bolstering the local economy. The project is set to connect to the national grid in early September 2024, aligning with the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Summit.
