Jordan confirms first mpox case in a 33-year-old non-Jordanian male resident.

Jordan's Health Ministry confirmed its first mpox (formerly monkeypox) case in 2024, involving a 33-year-old non-Jordanian male resident who developed a rash. He is currently isolated at Al Basheer Hospitals in Amman and is in stable condition. The ministry will monitor cases in coordination with relevant authorities. This marks the second recorded mpox case in Jordan, the first having occurred in 2022.
