Construction begins on $430M Fremantle Traffic Bridge, a two-lane project funded by national and state governments, improving connectivity, safety, and watercraft access.

Construction has begun on the Fremantle Traffic Bridge in Western Australia, a $430 million project funded by both the Australian and Western Australian governments. The new bridge will feature two lanes in each direction, improved active transport paths, and a higher clearance for watercraft, enhancing connectivity and safety. The project, designed as Australia's only extradosed bridge, will proceed in phases to keep the old bridge operational until late 2025.
