96-year-old Pacific Grove resident Jean Jacques faces eviction after new ownership reneges on care promises.

Ninety-six-year-old Jean Jacques, a long-term resident of Pacific Grove Senior Living, received a three-day eviction notice on August 16, demanding payment of about $110,000. After the facility's acquisition by Pacifica Senior Living in 2022, previous care assurances were not honored, leaving Jacques facing eviction despite her belief in lifelong care. Bob Sadler, president of the residents' association, is advocating on her behalf.
