A 20-year-old man was arrested by British Bases police in Akrotiri for allegedly attacking a woman in a hotel room. The 23-year-old victim reported that he beat and attempted to strangle her, causing her to lose consciousness. After regaining consciousness, she sought help and received medical treatment at Famagusta General Hospital. The suspect is set to appear in court on the British base before being transferred to Cypriot authorities, with the investigation ongoing.
