The Thane Municipal Corporation in India has launched mobile vehicles with water tanks for immersing Lord Ganesh idols during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, starting September 7. This initiative aims to enhance convenience and reduce crowding by allowing local immersions after rituals. Six vehicles will operate on key immersion days, supported by nine ghats, 15 artificial ponds, and other facilities to manage idol remnants.
