Swedish Vattenfall pauses Kriegers Flak offshore wind project due to unfavorable investment conditions.
Vattenfall has paused its Kriegers Flak offshore wind project in Sweden due to unfavorable investment conditions. Planned to generate 2.7 TWh of electricity annually by 2028, this project was considered the most advanced in the country. It received a building permit for 35-50 turbines in May 2022. Vattenfall may resume development if investment conditions improve, while still pursuing other offshore wind projects that could produce 18 TWh by 2035.
