The New South Wales (NSW) government is implementing reforms to combat domestic violence, including modernizing stalking laws to encompass technology-based tracking. New legislation will increase penalties for breaching Apprehended Violence Orders (AVOs), introducing offenses for knowingly breaching an order with intent to harm. Serious Domestic Abuse Prevention Orders will allow courts to impose conditions to prevent further offenses. The laws aim to enhance victim safety and accountability for perpetrators.
