The Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, has gathered in Uyo for upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda. Seven players, including captain William Troost-Ekong, have arrived to kick off preparations. The team is looking to rebound from a poor start in their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. Interim coach Austin Eguavoen, supported by his staff, will lead the squad aiming for a strong performance ahead of the AFCON tournament in Morocco.
