Melbourne Cup-winning trainer Darren Weir has received a two-year ban from horse racing, effective September 9, 2024, for using a "jigger" on three horses in 2018. This follows a prior four-year ban for similar offenses. Weir's former stable foreman, Jarrod McLean, has had his 18-month disqualification reduced to nine months, while stablehand Tyson Kermond's six-month ban has also been halved.
