FSIB proposes Rama Mohan Rao Amara as SBI's new MD, pending PM-led committee approval.
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has proposed Rama Mohan Rao Amara as the new Managing Director of the State Bank of India (SBI), following C S Setty's promotion to Chairman. Currently serving as Deputy Managing Director, Amara previously led SBI Card, India's largest credit card issuer. His appointment is awaiting approval from the Prime Minister-led Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
