2-car crash on Old Maitland Road kills woman in her 40s, injures 3 others; police investigate.
A two-car crash on Old Maitland Road near Bishops Bridge on September 2 resulted in the death of a woman in her 40s, the sole occupant of an SUV. The driver of a ute, a man in his 30s, and his two young passengers, aged one and six, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to John Hunter Hospital. Police established a crime scene and closed the road for several hours as they investigated. A report will be submitted to the Coroner.
