66-year-old woman dies in Florida Turnpike crash; lost control of Buick, hit barriers, then Toyota RAV4, unbuckled.
A 66-year-old woman from Crystal River died in a late-night crash on the Florida Turnpike in Lake County. She lost control of her 2021 Buick Enclave, hitting traffic barriers before being struck by a Toyota RAV4. The woman was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The 82-year-old driver of the Toyota was uninjured and remained at the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
