The Washington Huskies opened their season with a dominant 35-3 victory over Weber State in Seattle. Jonah Coleman starred with three touchdowns and 127 rushing yards. Quarterback Will Rogers, a transfer from Mississippi State, threw for 250 yards and a touchdown. Despite a strong rushing performance from Weber State's Damon Bankston, the Wildcats struggled offensively, particularly in the passing game. Washington's next game is against Eastern Michigan on September 11.
