Rhode Island University’s football team opened their season with a dramatic 20-17 win against Holy Cross. Leading 13-3 in the fourth quarter, they faced a comeback from Holy Cross before Devin Farrell threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Shawn Harris Jr. with just 19 seconds left. Farrell totaled 342 yards of offense, while Holy Cross's Joe Pesansky passed for 101 yards. URI's next game is against Minnesota on September 7.
