NCAA bars Oklahoma State University from QR codes on helmets due to NIL fund advertising.

The NCAA has barred Oklahoma State University from placing QR codes on players' helmets, intended to link to the team's NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) fund for donations. The NCAA classified the codes as advertising, which violates its rules. While the university disagrees with this interpretation, it will comply and instead display the codes in larger areas within Boone Pickens Stadium. Athletic Director Chad Weiberg plans to advocate for rule changes.
