A man died in a house fire in South Croydon on August 31; firefighters and police are investigating.
A house fire in South Croydon on August 31 resulted in one man's death. Firefighters arrived around noon, finding the man deceased inside the damaged end-of-terrace house. Six residents from a neighboring home were evacuated prior to their arrival. The fire, which left the building with blown-out windows, is under investigation by the London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police. Chelsham Road is closed as authorities conduct their inquiry.
