KC Tyagi resigns as JD(U) national spokesperson, citing personal reasons; replacement appointed to maintain party unity.

KC Tyagi has resigned as the national spokesperson for Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), citing personal reasons. His outspoken views on issues such as the Uniform Civil Code and the Israel-Palestine conflict reportedly strained relations with the BJP, JD(U)'s ally. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar appointed Rajiv Ranjan Prasad as his replacement to help maintain party unity and better manage alliance ties. Tyagi will remain as a political advisor.
