In July 2024, India’s economy demonstrated resilience as domestic air passenger traffic grew by 7% year-on-year, reaching 1.30 crore passengers. Cargo handling at government ports also increased by 7% to 70.1 million metric tonnes. Additionally, Indian Railways reported a 4.7% rise in freight traffic, totaling 129.6 million metric tonnes, aided by the operationalization of dedicated freight corridors, improving efficiency and turnaround times.
