A fatal car crash in Kansas City, Missouri, occurred when a driver in a silver Chevrolet Malibu fled from a traffic stop by Prairie Village police. The vehicle sped into Missouri, hit a small tree, and then collided with a larger tree. The unrestrained driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. This incident marks the 64th traffic fatality in Kansas City this year, an increase from 61 at the same time last year. The police are investigating.
