Pat McAfee, a former WVU football player and host of ESPN's top-rated sports talk show, "The Pat McAfee Show," hosted a live broadcast at WVU's downtown campus ahead of the university's 2024 football season opener against Penn State. The event attracted a large crowd, including students and fans. McAfee also pledged $1 million to WVU's Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) collective as a token of gratitude for his time on the team.
